Project Overview
A civil contractor required a modular slurry treatment plant to support a bored tunnel section driven by a slurry TBM. Available surface pad space was tight, and the programme required the plant on line and stable within a short mobilisation window.
The Challenge
- Slurry reuse target that required a full shaker-cyclone-centrifuge train, not just primary screening.
- Restricted pad footprint with adjacent live construction traffic.
- Tight programme — the TBM face pressure and slurry recirculation had to be maintained within specification from the first drive.
- Requirement for rental supply with the option to convert to purchase if the pattern was repeated on subsequent contracts.
