Casing & Tubing

API 5CT surface and production casing, liners, production tubing, premium connections and accessories — new and inspected stock.

Casing & Tubing

Paragon supplies API 5CT casing and production tubing for onshore and offshore wells — surface casing, intermediate strings, production casing, liners and production tubing sourced from API-licensed mills and vetted stockholders.

Every string is engineered to the well design: grade, weight, connection and inspection level agreed against burst, collapse, tension and sour-service requirements — not pulled off a general stock list.

How it works

  1. 1Client shares casing design, mud weights, well trajectory and connection preference — Paragon returns a tubular specification and stock options within one working day.
  2. 2New-manufacture strings sourced from API 5CT-licensed mills; pre-owned stock is limited to material with traceable mill certification and current inspection.
  3. 3Premium connections (VAM, TenarisHydril, Tenaris Blue, JFE Bear, etc.) or API connections (BTC, LTC, STC) specified to well conditions and rig make-up capability.
  4. 4Paragon coordinates float equipment, centralisers, thread protection and export logistics to the wellsite or forwarding yard.

Specifications indicative — actual configuration sized against your specific process.

Typical applications

  • Surface casing for spud and top-hole sections
  • Intermediate casing across unstable formations and losses zones
  • Production casing and liners across pay zones
  • Production tubing for oil, gas and injection wells
  • Sour service (H2S) wells requiring NACE-compliant metallurgy
  • Workover and re-completion strings

Selection factors

Design the string, then pick the pipe

Grade and weight should fall out of a burst / collapse / tension calculation for each section — not be picked to match what happens to be in the yard. Under-designed strings cost far more in remedial work than the delta on premium metal.

Premium vs API connection — driven by well conditions

Premium connections earn their cost in deviated, high-pressure, gas or sour service wells where API connection leak resistance is marginal. On simple onshore oil wells, well-run BTC often does the job at a fraction of the price.

Never separate pipe from accessories

Float equipment, centralisers and stop collars must be specified alongside the casing programme — mismatched float shoes and centraliser spacing are a recurring cause of poor cement jobs and remedial squeezes.

FIELD TIP

Cement job failures are almost never a cement problem. Nine times out of ten it is centraliser spacing, float equipment or standoff — get the accessories right and the cement follows.
